What Dua to recite on Eid al Adha?
On Eid al-Adha, it is highly recommended for every Muslim adult to recite the Takbeer-e-Tashreeq after the obligatory prayers from the 9th to the 13th of Dhul Hijjah. This is a special form of glorification of Allah, and the dua recitation is as follows:
Eid Ul Adha Dua In Arabic:
اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ لَا إلَهَ إلَّا اللَّهُ وَاَللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلِلَّهِ الْحَمْد
“Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Laa ilaaha illallahu Wallahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Wa lillahil Hamd.”
English Translation:
“Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest. There is no deity besides Allah, and Allah is the greatest. Allah is the greatest, and all praises are for Allah only.”
It’s customary for men to recite this aloud, while women recite it silently. This Takbeer is a beautiful expression of gratitude and acknowledgment of Allah’s greatness during the days of Eid al-Adha.
